This British and Irish Lions Rugby hoodie, designed by Canterbury, features a tango red body with white accents. The iconic CCC logo and a 'THE LIONS' inscription lay across the chest while an 'SA' inscription sits above the outline of the South Africa flag on the right sleeve and the Lions logo resides on the left sleeve. The top is constructed of soft fabric with a thick fleece lining, making it comfortable and warm. In addition, the hood has drawstrings and a kangaroo pocket that provides a place to keep hands warm or store personal items. This is a great option for a crisp day in the stands, especially for a Lions fan.
The Lions rugby union team, made up of players eligible for the national teams England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland was founded in 1888 as Shaw and Shrewsbury Team. At that time, it consisted mostly of English players and some from Scotland and Wales. Later, the team’s name became British Isles and for the 1950 tour of New Zealand and Australia, the name British Lions was adopted. Prior to the 2001 tour of Australia, the official name became the British and Irish Lions, and has remained so since. Today, the squad consisting of players from all the Home Nations anxiously awaits its upcoming 2021 tour of South Africa in July.
